What DigLab Does

• In September 2019, DigLab is co-sponsoring a workshop, along with Global Investigative Journalism Network, on effective investigative techniques and practices for citizen investigators and researchers. At this workshop, Citizens Investigating & Exposing Wrongdoing, nine fellows and others – citizen investigators, researchers and journalists collaborating with citizens – from around the world will share experiences.

• We train and mentor citizens who ask for help in digging deeper.

• We consult with NGOs that seek to strengthen their own research and investigation skills and effectiveness.

• We help educators teach young people how to investigate issues in their communities.

• DigLab has held two conferences that brought together citizen investigators from all over the world to share their stories and connect with each other.
